On 14 September 2024, 32 SUSS alumni and guests gathered for a unique experience – a tufting workshop designed to spark new friendships and foster creativity. The workshop provided an opportunity for attendees to explore the art of tufting, learn new skills, and most importantly express their creativity through their artistic creation of beautiful, handcrafted pieces. The atmosphere was lively, and the attendees were filled with positive vibes as they immersed themselves in the world of tufting and showcased their artistic creativity.

The workshop began with an interactive session on tufting techniques. Interestingly, a crucial tip is exerting firm pressure against the tufting cloth. The secret lies in the precision and intensity of your movements in an upward direction. This technique helps anchor the yarn securely on the cloth.
The Yarn Palette: Sparking Creativity with Every Selection
From bold, striking hues to softer, more subtle shades, the possibilities seemed infinite. Each attendee had the opportunity to uncover their undiscovered creativity, meticulously selecting shades that best reflected their personal aesthetics and envisioned designs. Some attendees took the chance to play with bold and lively combinations, while others leaned towards a more minimalist palette.
