SUSS Community Rallies to Raise Funds For Social Good

SUSS Giving Day returned with a bang this April! It rallies the entire SUSS community to come together and give back to spark positive change in society. And as part of SUSS Giving Day, the SUSS Better Together Challenge kicked off at the same time. Several challenges were mounted with the University’s community becoming agents of change by raising funds to support causes that they care about.
Last year’s inaugural SUSS Better Together Challenge saw our students, alumni, faculty and staff gamely stepping forward to set up 14 challenges, from baking cookies to walking 170km. With overwhelming backing from many, they raised almost S$100,000 to support SUSS and its two chosen beneficiaries, President’s Challenge and Asian Women’s Welfare Association.
This year’s SUSS Better Together Challenge has more than 20 challenge pledges by students, alumni, faculty and staff. We have the SUSS Alumni Relations’ Walk2gathAR Challenge, School of Humanities & Behavioural Sciences’ Cracker Challenge, School of Science & Technology’s Steps for Fund Challenge and Business Intelligence & Analytics Department’s Food Recipe E-book Challenge, just to name a few.
These challengers aim to raise money in support of various funds, including:
SUSS staff (from left) Jason, Siew Hoong, Wai Meng and Jufrie will cycle 2,000 km – the distance from Singapore to the Malaysian/Thai border and back – in support of the SUSS Student Care Fund.
Do show these challengers your support by making a donation, if you have not already done so. Your giving will go a long way in making a positive impact on our SUSS students and community. And for contributions of S$100 or more, 20% will be channelled to the President’s Challenge. Donations of S$10 and above made through the SUSS Giving Day 2023 Better Together Challenge are eligible for a 250% tax deduction.

Click here to support them now and make your mark for social good in the SUSS Better Together Challenge 2023!
